Arun Jaitley announced in his budget speech that rural sanitation is up 60% from 42% since 2014.

WHAT IT MEANS:

Since 1986, India has spent over $3 billion on constructing toilets across the country according to the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

WHAT NEXT:

Swachh Bharat campaign is likely to be an integral part of rural infrastructure by Jaitley.
