Ace pistol shooter Jitu Rai staged a remarkable comeback to clinch the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event for India’s 4th podium finish in the ongoing ISSF World Cup in New Delhi. The 29-year-old shot a total of 216.7 in the eight-man final to finish 3rd on the podium.
Earlier, India win first 10m pistol mixed team event gold medal through Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu in ISSF Shooting World Cup at Delhi’s Karni singh shooting range.
At the Olympics last year as well, a lot of hopes were pinned on the shooting duo but they failed to notch up the results. It seems 2017 is going to be a historic one for the Indian shooters.
Both of them were participating in the mixed doubles event where cooperation and coordination hold the key. Jitu Rai on the other hand, is a pro and has been in the shooting circuit for quite some time now.
