  • The two Indian players made it a gold silver finish for India in the 50m pistol final; Jitu shot 230.1 in the final to stage a comeback for a world record score.
  • Jitu was in the 6th spot in the first stage of elimination and then staged a comeback to keep climbing up the ladder. Jitu saved the best for last to topple Amanpreet in the final.
  • Amanpreet let the advantage slip in the final stages of the final to settle for a silver with 226.9 points. Vahid Golkhandan finished 3rd to settle for bronze medal.
